Azra Akın is a Dutch-Turkish model. She was born in Almelo, the Netherlands in 1981. Her family is from Emirdag in Turkey. A day before her 21st birthday, she was elected Miss World 2002 on behalf of Turkey. After her election to Miss World, she moved to Istanbul. In Turkey, she quickly became a superstar.
